Seax Rites

One of the main differences that Seax Wicca has from other traditions is that we have no 'Oath of Secrecy' as such.  While some covens do retain this for their own devices it is not a Seax custom.
There is a lot of contention between traditions and pagans in general over the idea of giving of knowledge. While the majority if not all pagans will preach that they give of their knowledge to those who seek it is usually only the basic information and anything further like the Coven Rituals are kept in private and only for coven members. As Seax Wiccans we believe that ALL works and experience should be available to the seeker.  That is why most Seax Covens or Solitaires openly show their rituals etc.

The Format of our rituals are very similar as well. The Temple is Erected, the rite or ritual is performed then we Close the Temple then we engage in the Ceremony of Cakes and Ale. While this is the standard form as found in our writings it can vary depending on coven or solitary.
